Razaullah Nizamani aka Abu Saifullah, a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist and the key conspirator behind the 2006 attack on the RSS headquarters in Nagpur, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Pakistan’s Sindh province on Sunday, as reported by PTI. According to media reports, Nizamani had left his residence in Matli earlier in the day when he was ambushed near a major crossing by unidentified gunmen. Despite being under government protection, the attackers succeeded in carrying out the targeted assassination and managed to flee the scene.

A mastermind behind deadly attacks in India, Razaullah Nizamani had a long history of involvement in terrorism under the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) banner. Hailing from the Khalid Malan area, he played a central role in orchestrating three major terror attacks on Indian soil. These included the 2006 attack on the RSS headquarters in Nagpur. He was also behind the 2001 attack on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) base in Rampur, which resulted in multiple casualties. Nizamani was also linked to the 2005 Indian Science Congress (ISC) attack in Bangalore.

Operating under the alias Vinod Kumar, he even married a Nepali citizen, Nagma Banu, to help conceal his identity and move more freely across borders. His primary responsibilities reported involved recruitment and fundraising for both Lashkar-e-Taiba and its parent outfit, Jamaat-ud-Dawa.

Pattern Of Terrorist Elimination In Pakistan

In 2023, Dawood Malik, a close aide of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar and founder of Lashkar-e-Jabbar, was similarly killed in North Waziristan. Malik was targeted by masked gunmen at a private clinic in the Mirali area. Like Nizamani, his death was labelled a “targeted killing,” and the perpetrators escaped without a trace.
