Russia: One Indian Killed, Three Injured In Massive Ukrainian Drone Attack On Moscow, Embassy Confirms

An Indian worker lost his life while three others were injured after a drone hit the Russian capital Moscow on Sunday, the Indian Embassy in the country has confirmed.

The injured workers were rushed to the hospital, where officials of the embassy met them. In a post on social media platform X, the Indian Embassy said, “One Indian worker has lost his life, and three others have been injured in a drone attack in the Moscow region earlier today. Embassy officials have visited the location and met the injured workers in the hospital".

“The Embassy condoles the loss of life and is working with the company management and local authorities to provide necessary assistance to the workers," it added.

Earlier in the day, Russia stated that it faced an overnight wave of air attack by nearly 600 Ukrainian drones. The attack, the Kremlin claimed, killed 4 people.

The Russian authorities said that three people were killed in the Moscow region, while one was killed in the Belgorod region. The Russian defence system shot down 556 drones overnight and neutralised another 30 after dawn out of almost 600 unarmed vehicles.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has described the wave of drones as "entirely justified" retaliation for Russia’s continued attacks on the country.
