Susie Wiles Chief of Staff:  Just two days after winning the most important election on the globe, Donald Trump, US's new President-elect nominated his campaign co-chair Susan Summerall Wiles aka Susie Wiles the new Chief of Staff of the White House, the American seat of power. Her appointment - not only the first of any kind by President-elect Trump in his second tenure but also just two days after winning the polls - reflects the significance of Wiles in the Republican leader's political career.

Susie, who is fondly called the 'Ice Maidan' or the 'Ice Baby' for her calm and well-poised attitude even in situations as heated as a US Presidential poll, is set to become the first-ever female Chief Of Staff of the White House. But why does Trump trust her 67-year-old advisor? Why she has been appointed for such a crucial job? More importantly, Who is She? Let's find the answer.

Why Susie Wiles As Chief Of Staff

The White House's Chief of Staff is a position of great influence and power and the appointee serves as the head of the executive staff of the President. Susie's elevation to the post highlights how much Trump trusts her long-time aide who managed her three extraordinary Presidential campaigns.

Wiles is known for her discipline and sophistication in poll strategies, a quality much-needed in somebody managing Donald Trump who loves to go off the script, says news agency Reuters in a report. Susie kept the damage of media misadventures and leaks of Trump to a minimum and successfully wooed Black and Latino voters in his favour.

With an abundance of experience as an election strategist, Summerall is counted among one of the most trusted aides of Trump.

She started her poll-campaign career as part of Republican President Ronald Reagan's successful 1980 campaign. Throughout her career, she worked for different Republican leaders from Republican U.S. representatives Jack Kemp, a staunch advocate of free trade to Tillie Fowler, a moderate politician on several issues, including gun control. This experience inadvertently helped her manage Donald Trump, a rather unexpected Republican politician.

Who Is Susie Wiles: Personal Life, Family And Background

Susan comes from a very well-established background. Daughter to Pat Summerall, the famous US football player and legendary TV sportscaster, Wiles married Lanny Wiles, a fellow Republican political consultant.

The couple remained married for over 32 years before they divorced in 2017. The Protestant churchgoer, Wiles has two daughters. One of her daughters, Caroline Wiles was hired by the White House as deputy assistant to the president during Trump's first tenure and the appointment subsequently got into a controversy over her qualifications and hefty salary payments.
