Jeffrey Epstein Files: The White House once again addressed the allegations related the Epstein files on Wednesday after US Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick, landed in trouble after he appeared to have visited Epstein's private Caribbean island for lunch in 2012. The revelations have prompted calls from both Republicans and Democrats for him to resign.
However, Leavitt told reporters at the White House that Trump "fully supports" Lutnick amid questions being raised by the lawmakers on about his own ties to Epstein.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said US President Donald Trump has been consistent and kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club at Mar-a-Lago because he was a "creep."
"The President has always remained consistent, and he kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club at Mar-a-Lago because Jeffrey Epstein was a creep. And unlike many other people who are named in these files, President Trump cut off his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and was honest and transparent about that for years and years. I think what the President has said all along has always remained true. The release of more than three million documents related to Jeffrey Epstein and his heinous, disgusting crimes just shows the level of transparency that this president and administration have committed to in bringing these files to light," she said.

Leavitt asserted that the release of Epstein files now shows Trump's faith in transparency.
Separately on Tuesday, Lutnick sought to distance himself from Epstein while testifying at a Senate hearing, alleging he "barely had anything to do with" him. The Justice Department files included emails that showed.
I Did Have Lunch With Jeffery: Lutincks
I did have lunch with him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation, Lutnick testified on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, saying his wife was with him. "We had lunch on the island. That is true. For an hour," he added.
Lutnick told senators that the two men had met only three times over 14 years and that the lunch, which included his family, occurred simply because he was on a boat near the island.
"I know and my wife knows that I have done absolutely nothing wrong in any possible regard," Lutnick said at the hearing. But the emails contradicted Lutnick's previous statements that he vowed in 2005 never to see Epstein again, after Epstein, his neighbour at the time, showed Lutnick a massage table at his townhouse and made a sexually suggestive comment.
Republican Representative Tom Massie told CNN on Sunday that Lutnick should "make life easier on the president, frankly, and just resign."
The Trump administration has been facing the heat since the Justice Department released millions of Epstein-related files to comply with a bipartisan bill.
