US: Indian Student Accidentally Shoots Himself While Celebrating Birthday; Dies

An Indian student died in the United States after he accidentally misfired his hunting gun while celebrating his birthday at his home in Atlanta. Aryan Reddy, 23, was killed on November 13, partying with his friends. During the celebration, Reddy took out his newly brought hunting gun to clean it, however, he reportedly misfired and shot himself in the chest, reports stated.

Officials reported that when Reddy’s friends, who were in a different room, heard the gunshot, they hurried to his room and found him lying in a pool of blood.

They quickly took him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Reddy was a second-year Master of Science student at Kansas State University in Atlanta. He originally came from Peddarao Palli village in Telangana's Bhuvanagiri district, though his family now lives in the Uppal district.
