US-Iran Peace Deal: The US-Iran peace agreement has been reached, and it will be officially signed in Switzerland on Friday. United States President Donald Trump's eagerness to secure this agreement is evident from his agreement to offer Iran a USD 300 billion reconstruction package.

Iran's semi-official news agency, Mehr has published a draft of a 14-point memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran. It includes an immediate halt to military operations on multiple fronts, the lifting of sanctions on Iranian oil exports, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and a reconstruction package for Iran worth at least USD 300 billion.

The document has not been officially released by either Washington or Tehran, but it is expected to form the basis of a broader peace process following the initial agreement.

US-Iran Come To Agreement After Months Of Fight

The US-Iran agreement is aimed at ending hostilities and creating an environment for a second round of talks, which will address issues such as Iran's nuclear program, sanctions, and economic reforms.

Iran's Supreme National Security Council has confirmed that a MoU has been finalised after months of negotiations. The council has dubbed it the "Islamabad Dialogue," reflecting Pakistan's role in the mediation efforts.

"Iran, under the leadership of its martyred leader, has proven its superiority over the American Zionist enemy. Following the directives of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic (may God protect him), the support of all the people and the tireless efforts of the warriors of Islam, as well as after months of difficult and intense negotiations, and based on the decision of the Supreme National Security Council, the draft of the 'Memorandum of Understanding' on the talks (Islamabad talks) to end the war between Iran and the United States was finalized on the evening of June 14," the council said in a statement.

The statement further said, "Based on the agreements reached, the war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, will end immediately and permanently from tonight, and the naval blockade against Iran will also be lifted immediately and completely."

It added, "This 'Memorandum of Understanding' will be officially signed on Friday, June 19." Iran also indicated that negotiations on a final agreement would only begin after Washington fulfills key commitments outlined in the memorandum.

14-Points Of Draft MoU

According to Mehr News Agency, several provisions have been included in the draft memorandum:

-An immediate and permanent end to military action on all fronts, including Lebanon.

-America's promise not to interfere in Iran's internal affairs and to respect Iran's sovereignty.

-Complete lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days.

-Withdrawal of US forces from areas around Iran.

-Reopening the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under Iran's arrangement.

-Lifting restrictions on Iran's oil, petrochemical products and related exports.

-Iran's full access to energy export revenue.

-The US and its allies promise to present a reconstruction plan worth at least USD 300 billion for Iran.

-60 days of negotiating time to reach a final agreement on nuclear issues and major sanctions relief.

-Iran reaffirms its commitment under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty not to develop nuclear weapons.

-America's promise not to increase military deployment in this area and not to impose new restrictions during the talks.

-Release of USD 24 billion of Iran's frozen assets during the negotiations, half of which will be released before negotiations begin.

-To create a monitoring mechanism to oversee the implementation of the agreement.

-Approval of the final agreement through a UN Security Council resolution.

The Mehr news agency also reported that final talks will not begin until three conditions are met: first, the release of half of Iran's frozen funds, second, the lifting of sanctions on Iranian oil exports, and third, the lifting of the naval blockade.

Issue Of Nuclear Program Remains Unresolved

Despite Trump's declaration that the deal with Iran is "now done," the memorandum suggests that the most contentious nuclear issues remain unresolved.

According to reports, the document reiterates Iran's promise not to develop nuclear weapons, but does not provide any clear information about limits on uranium enrichment, dismantling of nuclear facilities, or additional inspection mechanisms beyond existing obligations.

Instead, these issues are expected to be negotiated during a separate 60-day process after the memorandum comes into force. According to reports, the draft also limits the scope of future negotiations.

According to Iran, discussions will be limited to enriched nuclear material, enrichment activities, sanctions easing, and economic reconstruction. Iran's missile program and its support for regional armed groups have reportedly been excluded from the agenda.

Iran Sets Conditions Before Final Talks

Earlier, Iran Deputy Foreign Minister, Kazem Gharibabadi had clarified that negotiations on a final agreement would only begin after Tehran confirmed that Washington had fulfilled its commitments under the memorandum. Iranian state media also reported that the release of frozen assets, sanctions relief, and the lifting of maritime restrictions were essential conditions for any detailed talks.

Although the reported memorandum outlines a broad framework for ending hostilities, key details have yet to be verified and the two governments have yet to officially publish the full text.
