Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday claimed that a proposed peace agreement between the US and Iran has been agreed upon. Sharing a post on X, the Pakistani Prime Minister stated, "We can confirm that a final, agreed-upon text of the peace deal has been reached. Pakistan is now collaborating closely with both sides to finalise the next steps." He tagged both the US and Iranian presidents and other leaders in the post, adding, "Peace has never been as close as it is now."
Sharif asserted that despite what he described as attempts to undermine the process, negotiators have already agreed on the final wording of the proposed accord.

"Disregarding the distractions, we can confirm that a final, agreed-upon text of the peace deal has been reached. Pakistan is now collaborating closely with both parties to finalise the next steps," he stated.
US President Donald Trump later shared a screenshot of a post by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, indicating optimism about ongoing negotiations despite a series of contradictory public statements from Washington and Tehran over the proposed agreement.
What Did Iran Say?
"The Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has never been closer," Araghchi wrote. "Pending its finalization, the media should refrain from entering speculation about its content," he added.
Araghchi had written on X that the two sides were closer than ever to finalising what he described as the "Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding," referring to the Pakistani capital, where previous rounds of US-Iran talks were held.

Negotiations over Iran's nuclear programme – US President Donald Trump's stated rationale for starting the war – would take place afterward.
Is Israel Not Participating In The negotiation?
Israel has not participated in the negotiation; Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted his country would not be a party to the agreement.
Netanyahu has clashed with Trump in recent weeks over US demands that Israel curb military action in Lebanon to allow Washington to reach a deal with Tehran. Araqchi said the agreement would end the war in Lebanon, implying an Israeli withdrawal from occupied areas.
Israel's defence minister claimed it would not withdraw. A senior Israeli official said Israel expects to retain its freedom to act against threats.
