The US Navy has destroyed three of four Houthi small boats used by the Iran-backed militants to attack the Maersk Hangzhou vessel in the southern Red Sea, the US military said on Sunday.
The move comes after Iranian-backed Houthi militants attacked a Maersk container vessel on Saturday. This was the latest attack by the Houthi militants in Yemen, who have been targeting vessels in the Red Sea, showing their support for Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist militant group fighting Israel in Gaza.
