A peaceful evening river cruise in San Antonio, Texas, turned chaotic after a woman pepper-sprayed eight passengers, including an Indian family with a toddler, during a shocking outburst captured on video. The incident occurred on a Go Rio River Walk boat tour, where tourists were enjoying a routine ride before the confrontation spiralled out of control.

According to local outlet KSAT, the trouble began when the boat operator politely asked the woman to lower the volume on her phone so passengers could hear the guide’s narration. Instead of complying, the woman became increasingly aggressive, threatening those around her and raising her voice. Witnesses said her behaviour quickly escalated, prompting the operator to stop the tour and ask her to step off the boat.

Pepper Spray Attack From A Nearby Bridge

The situation worsened once she disembarked. Footage widely shared on TikTok and Instagram shows the woman shouting angrily at passengers before taking out a pepper spray canister. She then walked onto a nearby bridge and sprayed the chemical irritant directly down onto the boat, striking eight people, including a baby. The disturbing video shows the affected toddler rubbing their eyes and crying in pain as adults scramble to shield themselves.

Indian Family Among Victims; Child In Distress

A clip posted by the page @america_nri_la_frustration shows the Indian family attempting to comfort their child amid the chaos. Screengrabs from the video circulated widely online, with captions reading: “Woman pepper sprays Indian family amid phone volume dispute on San Antonio riverboat.” Social media users condemned the act, with many calling it “child abuse” and demanding strict action.

The San Antonio Police Department confirmed that several passengers reported exposure to pepper spray and complained of burning sensations. Witnesses told officers that the woman appeared to have the pepper spray hanging from her bag, indicating she was already carrying it before the confrontation.
