US President Donald Trump was reportedly uninjured after a shooting incident at the White House Correspondents' dinner on Saturday. The MAGA chief abruptly rushed off stage and temporarily bent down under the table following reports of gunfire and a major security breach.

Hundreds of guests took cover under tables amidst shouts to "duck" as Secret Service agents in combat gear secured the room. As per the circulated video from inside the room, security quickly cleared the guests on the main stage—including the president and first lady. Someone can be heard shouting "stay down."

The incident took place at around 8:30 pm ET in the Washington Hilton. Several journalists, politicians, and leaders attended the event. The gh-level party was attended by Trump, first lady Melania, and many others.

What Did Trump Say?

After safely rushing out from the venue, Donald Trump shared a hard-hitting post, saying, "Quite an evening in D.C. The Secret Service and law enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we 'LET THE SHOW GO ON,' but we will entirely be guided by law enforcement. They will make a decision shortly. Regardless of that decision, the evening will be much different than planned, and we'll just plain have to do it again," Trump wrote.
