In a chilling case that has shocked the country, a 17-year-old Wisconsin boy, Nikita Casap, is charged with state and potentially federal offenses for allegedly murdering his mother and stepfather in an attempt to fund and carry out a brutal plan to assassinate former President Donald Trump and topple the US government.
Casap, arrested in March 2025, was said to have aligned himself with neo-Nazi ideologies and was in communication with online extremist groups. Federal officials now accuse him of plotting a domestic terrorist attack that would involve explosives and plan to incite a white supremacist rebellion.
Double Murder in Waukesha County: How the Case Unfolded
Police found Tatiana Casap (35) and Donald Mayer (51) dead in a welfare check on February 28 after Nikita Casap did not report to school for two weeks. Both were shot to death and buried under heaps of blankets and clothes in the family residence in Waukesha County. The scene was gruesome, with Casap's stepfather shot once in the head and his mother having multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and neck. The bodies were so decomposed that other means had to be used for their identification by officials.
Extremist Manifesto and White Supremacist Links Uncovered
Court records indicate that Casap had composed manifestos stating white nationalist ideologies, featuring direct threats to former President Trump. The writings were quoted to have stated that he killed his parents to obtain "financial means and autonomy" to carry out a politically driven assassination scheme.
One chilling document included photos of Adolf Hitler with the words: "HAIL HITLER. HAIL THE WHITE RACE. HAIL VICTORY." The FBI also found evidence that Casap was a member of The Order of Nine Angles, a recognized neo-Nazi extremist group, and was engaged in building a weapon of mass destruction with a drone and explosives.
As per a federal affidavit, Casap had made contact with fellow extremists on the internet, and some of those individuals allegedly facilitated or knew of his plans. He had used part of the money to pay for a drone and explosive devices, which law enforcement believes would have been utilized in an assault on the US government. The FBI alleges that Casap became radicalized strongly in white supremacist ideology, and his intent was more than merely targeting Trump to spark a revolution to "save the white race from Jewish-controlled politicians."
Who Is Nikita Casap?
Nikita Casap was a student at Waukesha West High School. Known to keep a low profile, Casap has now emerged as a central figure in a case involving not just double homicide but a chilling political agenda. Investigators say the teen was radicalized online and driven by white supremacist ideology. His writings and digital communications indicate that he believed killing his parents would give him the freedom and funds to carry out a violent attack against former President Trump. Casap allegedly envisioned a broader rebellion against the U.S. government, and authorities say he showed signs of calculated planning, including the acquisition of a drone and attempts to obtain explosives.
Legal Proceedings and Potential Federal Charges
Casap presently has several charges pending in state court, which include first-degree intentional homicide, concealing a corpse, identity theft, and theft greater than 10,000 USD. Casap was seen in court on April 9 for a preliminary hearing and continues to be held at Waukesha County Jail on a $1 million bond. He has a May 7 hearing where he is to be officially arraigned. Federal authorities are said to be seeking other charges, including conspiracy to kill a US president, domestic terrorism, and employment of weapons of mass destruction.
The case has been serious to raise national security issues about increasing threats of homegrown extremism among American youth, particularly. Casap's path into extremist ideologies, carrying out a double murder, and attempting to assassinate a former president of the US are now focal points in an expansive probe of homegrown terror and white supremacist networks.
