Hours after US President-elect Donald Trump announced the appointment of 76-year-old WWE co-founder Linda McMahon to head the Education Department, an old video resurfaced showing Trump shaving her husband, Vince McMahon’s, head inside a wrestling ring during a staged feud. The video quickly gained widespread attention online.

Linda McMahon is married to Vince McMahon, a long-time WWE colleague of Donald Trump. Trump also sponsored WWE WrestleMania IV and V, which took place at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Linda is married to Vince McMahon, the son of a well-known wrestling promoter. Together, they built what is now WWE, transforming it into a major force in both the wrestling industry and American culture. Linda later stepped down from her role as WWE's CEO to pursue a political career. She ran for a US Senate seat in Connecticut twice, but lost both times, in 2010 to Richard Blumenthal and in 2012 to Chris Murphy.

Why Did Donald Trump Shave Vince McMahon’s Head In Ring?

In 2007, during his time on the reality show The Apprentice, Trump made a memorable appearance at WrestleMania 23. The billionaire entertainment mogul engaged in an elaborate staged feud with Vince McMahon, culminating in a dramatic moment where Trump shaved McMahon's head in the middle of the ring.

The feud between Donald Trump and Vince McMahon culminated in the ‘Battle of the Billionaires’ at WrestleMania 23 in Detroit, where each billionaire selected a wrestler to represent them. Trump chose Bobby Lashley, while McMahon backed Umaga.

In the ring, Donald Trump and Vince McMahon agreed that the losing billionaire would have to shave his head. While the wrestlers did most of the physical work, both Trump and McMahon, in their sixties, also participated in the antics. After Lashley won the match for Trump, the then-businessman shaved McMahon's head in celebration.
