A large shipment of the famous chocolate wafer biscuits, KitKat, was stolen on Sunday. Swiss food giant Nestle confirmed the incident in a statement, highlighting that 12 tonnes of chocolate bars were stolen during transit in Europe. The bizarre post left the netizens shocked, sparking discussion whether it was a real heist or an announcement of a new chocolate range. The confusion further arose after several big brands like KFC, Domino's Pizza UK, and Denny’s reacted to the post, expressing their condolences.
Domino's Pizza UK Teases KitKat
Domino's Pizza UK, especially, took a step forward by announcing that the popular pizza brand will now sell “Kit Kat Pizza.” In a post on X, the brand wrote, “We would like to share our thoughts and condolences with Kit Kat following their recent sad news. On a completely unrelated note, we're pleased to announce we'll now be selling a new Kit Kat pizza.” The brand which appeared to tease the confectionery company further fuelled netizens’ reaction to the incident.

Netizens React To 'Kit Kat Pizza'
As the post about “Kit Kat Pizza” went viral, several users created an AI generated picture of a pizza with chocolate bars as the topping and posted it online. Other users called it a “great marketing” move. Some even warned Domino's that this post won’t go well with Nestle, asking the brand to delete it. A user wrote, “Where did you get your supply of kitkat for your kitkat pizza??? Another user said, “Hey @KITKAT I think dominos stole it for launching their new pizza.” A third user added, “We got Kit Kat pizza before GTA 6.”

However, the brand later clarified that it was a joke. “For legal reasons, this is a joke,” Domino’s Pizza UK commented on the same post.
