Tehran launched a new barrage of missiles toward Israel on Friday, carrying messages thanking countries that Iran felt had shown support and solidarity during the ongoing West Asia conflict.

Images were shared by the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai. In a post shared on X, the consulate wrote, “Gratitude from Iran’s Aerospace Force to the people of Spain, Pakistan, India, and Germany for their support and solidarity, especially during the 83rd wave of missile response to the US and Israel."

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) asserted that the latest attacks were a part of the 83rd wave of strikes, which was conducted on Friday. As per the official statements, the attacks involved long and medium-range missiles along with drones targeting locations in Israel and military facilities across the Gulf region, including sites used by US forces.

According to Iranian agencies, a maintenance facility for the US Patriot air defense system was one of the key targets in the strikes.

The latest attack comes amid grappling tensions after months of hostilities between Tehran and Israel. Ballistic missiles have been launched repeatedly toward Israeli territory as part of Iran’s retaliatory campaign during the ongoing West Asia conflict.

Even as the war continues, Tehran takes a softer stance toward several countries. Iran said on Thursday that vessels from “friendly nations,” including India, were being allowed to transit through the Strait of Hormuz—one of the world’s most significant energy shipping routes.
