Husqvarna Motorcycles has launched two new models in the country, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. The Indian market is the first to receive both models, with the 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 priced at Rs 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom) and the 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 at Rs 2.92 lakh (ex-showroom). The Husqvarna 250 models were already being sold in India, and now the company has brought in their 401 series of motorcycles. These bikes are locally manufactured in India and then exported to be sold in other international markets.
Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 - Design
The 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 shares its foundation with the KTM 250 Duke. Similar to the Svartpilen, the Vitpilen has a unique style with a flat-panel fuel tank cover, a round LED headlamp with DRL and a grey paint scheme. Unlike the previous model, the side and tail panels are now a single unit. Other design updates include a new single-piece seat, copper-bronze finishing on the engine cases and a new fluorescent stripe.

The ground clearance of the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 has gone up by 25 mm to 177 mm, while seat height is lower at 820 mm, as opposed to 842 mm on the previous model. The pillion seat height has also decreased to 877 mm from the previous 907 mm and the seat length has also been increased by 100 mm. Additionally, the Vitpilen 250 is now fitted with a larger 13.5-litre fuel tank, in place of a 9.5-litre unit. The kerb weight stands at 163.8 kg, slightly lower than its predecessor.

Talking about the engine specs, the 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is powered by a 249 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is tuned to generate a power output of 30.57 bhp and 25 Nm of torque. For suspension duties, it is equipped with 43 mm USD forks at the front and an offset-mounted adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking responsibilities are taken care by 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. In addition to this, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 gets features such as a new 5-inch LCD screen, ride-by-wire, switchable ABS, quickshifter and Type-C charging.

Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 - Rivals
Talking about competition, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 faces competition from other models in the segment like KTM 250 Duke and Suzuki Gixxer 250. The Vitpilen 250 will be available in all Husqvarna dealerships across the country from the end of this month. It is available with a 2+3 year warranty and a service interval of 7,500 km.
