South Korean automaker Kia recently unveiled the facelift of its Carnival MPV for global markets. However, the automaker only revealed the exterior of the Kia Carnival facelift and has now revealed the interior, features and specifications of its popular MPV model. Additionally, Kia has opened bookings for the fourth-gen Carnival globally with its India launch anticipated to happen in 2024.
New Kia Carnival - Interior
Firstly, the interior of the Carnival MPV gets significant changes like a rotary gear selector instead of the conventional gear lever that was used in the previous model. Other notable features include two 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, ambient lighting, digital IRVM (internal rear view mirror), multi-zone climate control, an entertainment system for the rear seats that includes a 14.6-inch HD screen, OTA updates, a head-up display and the option to start your vehicle with your fingerprint.
Safety features inside the Carnival include eight airbags and Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2) along with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Seating configurations for the upcoming 2024 Kia Carnival include 4-seater, 7-seater and 9-seater for the international markets with interior colour theme options including Taupe, Navy Grey, and Cotton Beige themes.
New Kia Carnival - Exterior
Key exterior design elements of the 2024 Kia Carnival include a new larger grille, redesigned headlights and taillights, signature LED DRLs, a LED light bar and new alloy wheels. Additionally, it will be available in six colour scheme options that include Ivory Silver, Snow White Pearl, Astra Blue, Pantera Metal, Aurora Black Pearl, and Ceramic Silver.
New Kia Carnival - Powertrain
Talking about the powertrain of the 2024 Kia Carnival, it gets three powertrain configurations - a 3.5-litre petrol engine, a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a new 1.6-turbocharged petrol engine that gets a hybrid powertrain with an electric motor that generates a combined output of 241 bhp (177 bhp engine output) and 350 Nm of torque. However, it isn’t yet known what all powertrain configurations will be making its way to India.
