French automaker Renault is gearing up to launch the new-gen Duster SUV for global markets on November 29. Ahead of its official launch, the final design of the third-gen Duster has surfaced online revealing exterior design elements of the SUV. The new Duster has been manufactured by Dacia, which is a subsidiary of Renault and the third-gen Duster is expected to be the most powerful iteration of the SUV so far.

New-Gen Duster - Exterior Design
The revealed images indicate that the new-gen Duster is based on the Dacia Bigster with distinct styling cues. Although the Bigster concept is a larger 4.6-meter-long 3-row SUV, the Duster seems to be more compact and not as elongated in its design. The final design of the new-gen Duster SUV gets a high bonnet line, unique Y-shaped headlamps and a slim grille that combines both headlamps into a single unit, a bumper shaped like a flattened bull-bar with two vertical air vents on either side.
The new Duster looks akin to the Bigster as it features squared-off wheel arches, roof rails and a spoiler. The tapering rear quarter glass has been incorporated into the design to maintain a visual connection between the new-gen Duster and its predecessor. The design also incorporates blacked-out 'B' and 'C' pillars, along with a blacked-out vertical 'shadow-line' below the mirrors. The images also reveal stylish ten-spoke alloy wheels and a distinctive kink in the cladding below the rear doors. At the back, the new-gen Duster gets V-shaped tail-lights.
New-Gen Duster - Engine
The new-gen Duster will offer three engine choices: a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.2-litre petrol hybrid engine. All these three engines are tuned to produce a power output of 120 bhp, 170 bhp and 140 bhp respectively. The 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine will be flex-fuel compliant in the top-spec variants of the third-gen Duster SUV and with a power output of 170 bhp, it will be the most powerful Duster to ever go into production. These units can be paired with a five-speed manual transmission, a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT unit, providing various options for transmission.
