Triumph Scrambler 400 X Deliveries Begin In India; Check Engine Specs, Features And Prices Here

Triumph Motorcycles India launched the Scrambler 400X on October 10 for the Indian market. Bookings for the Triumph Scrambler 400X were open at an amount of Rs 10,000 and it is exclusively available at the Triumph dealership network spanning across 100 cities in the country. Triumph has now commenced the deliveries for the Scrambler 400X with Mumbai being the first city to receive the much-awaited Scrambler, with other cities to follow. The Triumph Scrambler 400 X was launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.62 lakh. Triumph Scrambler 400 X will be manufactured locally in India at Bajaj's Chakan-2 facility for both Indian and international markets.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Performance

The Scrambler 400 X is fitted with a  liquid-cooled 398cc single-cylinder engine that can produce 40 bhp of power and 37.3 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. Notable features on the Scrambler 400 X include switchable traction control, ride-by-wire technology, digi-analogue display and dual-channel ABS from Bosch that can be deactivated for off-road purpose.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Hardware

In terms of hardware, the Scrambler 400 X is equipped with 43 mm up-side down Big Piston forks at the front and a preload-adjustable rear monoshocks. The suspension travel on the Scrambler 400 X is 150 mm on both ends. For braking duties, the Scrambler 400 X features a 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, with switchable ABS for added control.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Design 

In terms of appearance, the Scrambler 400 X draws inspiration from its counterpart, the Scrambler 1200 XC and sports an upright stance. It rides on Metzeler Karoo dual-sport tires mounted on 19-inch alloy wheels at the front and 17-inch alloys at the rear. The Scrambler 400X also boasts features like a mesh headlight guard, knuckle guards, engine bash-plate, headlight grille, radiator guard, split seat setup, sump guard, handguards, handlebar brace, a longer front mudguard and a dual-barrel exhaust.
