The ongoing Diwali festivity in the country is known for its popular tradition of burning firecrackers, however, that is not possible anymore due to the increasing levels of air pollution in the country. Celebrating Diwali without the rockets and patakhas is not the same which is why we have a list of the fastest rockets in the Indian automotive market for you that are also affordable and can be bought under the price tag of Rs 15 lakh. Here are some of the quickest cars to run from 0-100 km/h while also being under the price of Rs 15 lakh.

Skoda Slavia 

Skoda’s only sedan model sold in the country currently, the Slavia is the fastest in the list with its price ranging between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 19.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The Skoda Slavia TSI manual variant is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that is capable of producing a power output of 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The Slavia can run from 0-100 km/h in just 8.63 seconds. 

Honda City 

The Honda City is one of the oldest and most popular sedans in India while being available at prices starting from Rs 11.67 lakh that go up to Rs 16.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The City sedan derives its power from a 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates 120 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. The Honda City can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 10.2 seconds

Citroen C3

The Citroen C3 is the only hatchback on the list with prices starting from Rs 6.16 lakh that go up to Rs 8.92 lakh (ex-showroom). The C3 is equipped with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 109 bhp of power and 190 Nm of torque. The Citroen C3 turbo-petrol engine variant can run up from 0-100 km/h in 10.72 seconds.

Volkswagen Virtus 

Volkswagen’s popular sedan, the Virtus is available with its prices ranging from Rs 11.48 lakh to Rs 19.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The Volkswagen Virtus is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that generated a power output of 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. The Virtus 1.0 TSI MT variant can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 10.8 seconds.

Honda Elevate 

Honda Elevate is a compact SUV with its prices ranging from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The Elevate is equipped with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine that is capable of producing a power output of 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. Honda claims that the MT variants of the Elevate can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 10.82 seconds.
