Maruti Suzuki recently showcased their first-ever electric vehicle concept, the evX at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo. Previously, the Maruti Suzuki evX was displayed for the first time at the Auto Expo 2023. Now, the Maruti Suzuki evX has been spotted testing on Indian roads while being covered fully with black tape. It is likely that the Maruti Suzuki eVX will be launched for the Indian market in 2025. 

Maruti Suzuki eVX Spotted Testing In Delhi

As seen in the video that has surfaced online, the eVX has been covered with black tape all over to hide significant exterior details of the car. The glass covering of the rear taillights has also been removed so that their design is not revealed.

Maruti Suzuki eVX - Powertrain & Other Details 

It is expected that the Maruti Suzuki eVX will be built on a special electric skateboard platform, indicating that the wheel will be placed at the extreme corners and the floorboard will consist of batteries. This design results in the interior of the car being more spacious and roomy. Maruti Suzuki eVX dimensions measure at 4,300 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,600 mm in height making it as big as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. 

Talking about the powertrain details of the eVX, Maruti Suzuki had previously revealed that the eVX will be equipped with a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and will offer a claimed driving range of 550 km. Maruti Suzuki has collaborated with Toyota for the production of the eVX which is the brand’s first BEV. It is also likely that Maruti Suzuki will launch the eVX with a base level variant that will come equipped with a 48 kWh battery pack that will offer a driving range of 400 km.

Maruti Suzuki eVX - Interior Features 

Additionally, the interior of the Maruti Suzuki eVX was revealed at the Japan Mobility Show for the first time, offering a glimpse into the interiors of the eVX. The Maruti Suzuki eVX has a modern dashboard with two separate digital screens for the infotainment system and the car's digital instrument cluster. It also sports a unique yoke-shaped two-spoke steering wheel with touch-based controls. Behind the steering wheel on the dashboard, there are touch-controlled buttons for things like climate control and menu navigation. The gear selector is a rotary knob in the center console. Inside, you'll find vertically positioned AC vents, door handles with ambient lighting and additional touch-based controls.
