The automotive sector and technology go hand in hand, therefore, cars now boast advanced technological features. Many customers decide to buy one vehicle over another due to their expansive and appealing feature list. Some notable features include an air purifier, a 360-degree camera, powered seats, wireless phone chargers and many more. However, in recent times, a lot of irrelevant features have also been introduced that are not of great use in cars. Sunroof
The popularity of sunroofs is on the rise, but this feature is not as practical in India. Sunroofs were originally designed for experiencing outdoor weather, such as in Europe, where sunshine is more prevalent. Sunroofs are less useful in India and moreover, they are often misused in our country to create chaos and perform dangerous activities.
Automatic Headlamps
Automatic headlamps are a common feature in luxury cars. They include a light sensor that turns on the headlights when darkness is detected. Though this feature is convenient, manually controlling the headlights is also not a very tough task and can help you save money.
Rain Sensing Wipers
Automatic wipers, also known as rain-sensing wipers, can detect water on the windshield and start working accordingly. However, like automatic headlamps, some may consider this feature overrated as the task can be performed manually.
Gesture Control
Gesture control features work by just the movement of your hands to control functions in your car. It has been incorporated into cars with the aim that drivers will no longer have to look away from the road. However, gesture control features in cars have the potential to distract the driver. Simple tasks such as volume level can be more safely controlled using knobs or other physical controls.

Voice Command
Voice command feature has also been introduced with the aim to simplify the driving experience and make driving more convenient. It functions by performing actions such as putting location on maps, increasing the sound volume or calling someone while your phone is connected to bluetooth. However, in most circumstances these voice commands prove to not be useful as they often misinterpret your command and you often end up doing the task manually.
