Aprilia India unveiled the new Aprilia RS 457 in India at the Bharat MotoGP with two MotoGP riders - Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales. The Indian motorcycle manufacturer has now revealed the prices for the new Aprilia RS 457 for US markets. At the launch, Aprilia India announced that the bike will be locally manufactured at Piaggio India’s manufacturing plant in Baramati, Maharashtra.
Aprilia RS 457 - US Prices
Prices for the Aprilia RS 457 in the US market start at $6799 (Rs 5.66 lakh) for the Prismatic Dark and Opalescent Light color options. The Racing Stripes variant is slightly expensive as it is priced at $6899 (Rs 5.75 lakh).
Aprilia RS 457 - Expected India Prices
One would think that the prices for the Aprilia RS 457 are quite high for a sub-500cc parallel-twin motorcycle, even after considering that Aprilia is a premium brand. However, keeping in mind that the RS 457 will be locally manufactured in India, it is likely that it will be priced significantly lower for the Indian markets in comparison to the US market prices. It is anticipated that Aprilia India would price the RS 457 around Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

Aprilia RS 457 - Engine
The Aprilia RS 457 houses a new 457 cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank, liquid cooling, and DOHC head design. This engine setup is tuned to generate a power output of 47 bhp and 48 Nm of torque. The RS 457 is both powerful and lightweight as it weighs only 175 kg. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Aprilia RS 457 competes with other motorcycles in the segment like Kawasaki Ninja 300, Kawasaki Ninja 400, KTM 390 Duke, Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and Ultraviolette F77.
