Ather Energy, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has recently launched its IPO in the market, making it the second electric scooter maker from India to list its stock at National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after Ola Electric. Ather Energy was founded in 2013 by IIT Madras alumni Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain.
Ather is one of the largest electric two-wheeler brand in India, competing with brands like Ola Electric, TVS Motor, and Bajaj Auto. Ather is known for its smart, connected, and high-performance scooters like the Ather 450X, 450S, 450 Apex, and Rizta. Here's a look at all the Ather Products:
Ather Electric Scooter Models in India
1. Ather 450X
The Ather 450X gets a 6 kW PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) with a 2.9 kWh lithium-ion Battery pack. It has a Top Speed of 90 km/h and claimed range of 111 km. The scooter can be charged from 0–80% in 4 hours 30 minutes using a home charger. The prices starts at ₹1.47 lakh.
The key features includes 7-inch touchscreen dashboard with navigation, Warp mode for high-performance riding, Theft and tow alerts, remote diagnostics, Multi-stop Trip Planner and Google Maps integration.
2. Ather 450S
The Ather 450S is a more affordable variant, offering a balance of performance and practicality for daily commuting. It gets a 5.4 kW PMSM and 2.9 kWh lithium-ion setup, with a top Speed of 90 km/h, and a claimed range of 115 km. The prices start at ₹1.30 lakh.
The features include Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and Vehicle FallSafe, Guide-me-on light for easy parking, Theft and tow alerts, OTA updates for continuous improvements.
3. Ather 450 Apex
The Ather 450 Apex is the flagship model, offering high performance and exclusive features. It gets a 7 kW PMSM and 3.7 kWh lithium-ion setup with a top speed of 100 km/h and a claimed range of 110 km.
Key features include Magic Twist throttle for regenerative braking, Exclusive color and design elements Enhanced suspension for superior handling. The pricing starts at ₹1.91 lakh.
4. Ather Rizta
Launched in 2024, the Ather Rizta is the newest product from Ather and is a family-oriented electric scooter designed for comfort and practicality. It gets a 4.3 kW PMSM motor with 3.7 kWh lithium-ion battery and a top speed of 80 km/h and a claimed range of 160 km.
Key features include 34L under-seat storage and front trunk, Skid control and WhatsApp notifications on dashboard, Alexa integration for battery status and location updates, Eight regional language support on dashboard. Pricing start at ₹1.09 lakh.
Ather Energy currently operates in 96 cities across India, with over 175 experience centers. Ather also offers an online-only purchase model and doorstep service, ensure a hassle-free ownership experience.
