Ather Energy CEO Confirms Launch Of Two New Electric Scooters In Early 2024

Ather Energy, an Indian electric two-wheeler brand has announced that it will be launching two new e-scooter models in early 2024 in India. Co-Founder and CEO of Ather Energy, Tarun Mehta made this announcement on his social media account on X (formerly known as twitter). He revealed that one of the new electric scooters will be designed with a family-oriented focus and the second scooter will be an evolved version of the existing 450X with enhanced performance.

Ather’s New Family-Oriented E-Scooter 

The upcoming family-oriented Ather electric has also been spotted testing on the Indian roads. In the spy shots, it can be seen that the family-oriented scooter boasts a sleek design, featuring slim headlamp and tail lamp units. It also boasts a grab rail and a spacious, elongated seat suggesting enough room for both the rider and pillion. There’s also a side step for the pillion and a flat floor to allow the rider to store items on the floorboard. It is expected that the scooter will be offering an extended range and smoother performance, aligning with its family-oriented design and usage. Additionally, it is expected that it will be priced reasonably under the current 450 range to make it more affordable for a diverse audience.

New Ather 450 

The more evolved version of the existing 450X is expected to offer a significant boost in acceleration and performance. The current Ather 450X boasts a top speed of 90 km/h so we can expect the new Ather 450 to boast a top speed around 100 km/h. It is also likely that the new 450 will also get a revamped design and new features. However, Mehta stated in his tweet that it will come with a premium price tag but it will be justified as it will offer enhanced performance and best-in-class features.
