Under the new rules in the Motor Vehicle Act of 2019, it's against the law to add a separate pressure horn to any vehicle. If a regular horn has been replaced with a loud one from any vehicle modifying contractor, it is considered a fancy pressure horn. Traffic police can pull over vehicles with such horns and can ask the owners of the vehicles to pay a hefty fine of Rs 10,000 for breaking the rules, and the police may even remove the modified horn. It is best to avoid using pressure horns as they can be very disruptive and bothersome to pedestrians on the road.
