G20 Summit 2023: The G20 Summit will be held in Delhi from September 8-10. More than 20 member countries and nine special invitees, along with representatives from international organisations and trade and security delegations are scheduled to arrive in the national capital for the G-20 conference. In anticipation of the event and to ensure the safety and security of the attending world leaders, there has been a notable surge in demand for bulletproof and luxury vehicles.

As the host country, India has committed to supplying each embassy with a Mercedes S or E Class, two Innova Crystas, a Toyota Commuter and a van for the commute of their leaders and delegations at the G20 Summit venue. Luxury vehicles are being transported to Delhi from cities like Mumbai, Chandigarh and Agra, in preparation for the highly anticipated G20 summit.
One of the transport providers, tasked with supplying high-end vehicles to government agencies, embassies and corporations, revealed that cars from renowned manufacturers such as Mercedes, BMW and Audi are highly sought after for the summit. Among the most coveted vehicles is the Mercedes Maybach, which can command a daily rental price of up to Rs 1 lakh.
According to a transporter based in Delhi, the Mercedes-Maybach cars are typically rented for eight hours per day at a cost of Rs 60,000. If someone chooses to hire it for the entire day, the price goes up to approximately Rs 1 Lakh.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has conducted multiple meetings to coordinate security measures. For the protection of G20 delegates, fifty teams of CRPF guards will be deployed. Additionally, security agencies are employing Artificial Intelligence (AI) modules to enhance coordination and ensure foolproof security at the event venues.
