Bajaj Dominar 400 vs Triumph Speed 400: With the implementation of the revised GST rates (5 and 18 per cent), prices of two-wheelers with an engine capacity below 350cc have decreased. In contrast, two-wheelers above 350cc have either seen a price hike, received a price cut, or had the GST impact absorbed. The last one is true for the Bajaj Dominar 400, whereas the price of the Speed 400 has been revised, with Triumph reducing it by more than Rs 16,000.
Bajaj Dominar 400 Price Unaffected After GST 2.0
Bajaj Auto has chosen to keep the price of the Dominar 400, along with the Pulsar NS400Z's, unchanged, thereby absorbing the GST impact instead of passing it on to its customers. The move aims to maintain accessibility in the 400cc segment while protecting the demand. The Bajaj Dominar, updated with revised ergonomics, new ride modes, and the NS400Z-derived LCD dash, is currently priced at Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes in Charcoal Black and Aurora Green colours.
Triumph Speed 400 Price Reduced After GST 2.0
Whereas the price of the Bajaj Dominar remains unchanged despite the GST revision, the Triumph Speed 400 is cheaper by Rs 16,797. Triumph presently retails the bike at Rs 2.34 lakh (ex-showroom), down from Rs 2.51 lakh (ex-showroom). Interestingly, the new ex-showroom price of the Triumph Speed 400 is approximately Rs 10,000 higher than the introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 2.23 lakh, at which the bike was initially launched.

With GST 2.0, both models are now priced competitively in the segment, with a price difference of around Rs 5,000.
Bajaj Dominar 400 Vs Triumph Speed 400: Engine
The Speed 400 uses a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that develops 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. Meanwhile, the Bajaj Dominar 400 features a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 40bhp and 35Nm.
