Bajaj Auto has discontinued the Pulsar N160 single-channel ABS variant in India without any announcement. The primary reason for the discontinuation of the single-channel ABS variant of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is due its low demand in the market. The Bajaj Pulsar N160 will now be available exclusively in the dual-channel ABS variant that is offered at a price tag of Rs 1.31 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bajaj Pulsar N160 Single-Channel ABS Variant Discontinued

Bajaj Auto’s decision to discontinue the single-channel ABS variant is fair because it is comparatively less safer than the dual-channel ABS variant of the Pulsar N160. When launched, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 was available in two variants – one with single-channel ABS and the other with dual-channel ABS. The prices for these variants were Rs 1.22 lakh and Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. The price difference between the two was only Rs 5,000, so it makes sense for buyers to spend this amount for the safer option. The incorporation of dual-channel ABS in a motorcycle provides superior braking performance, especially in emergency situations. The Pulsar N160 was the first motorcycle in its segment to offer optional dual-channel ABS when it was launched last year.
