According to the government, the decision to scale up the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 was made in consultation with the automotive industry. The expo will now be hosted at Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Center) in Dwarka and India Expo Center & Mart in Greater Noida. The 2025 edition promises to showcase a wide array of vehicles, including commercial and passenger vehicles, electric vehicles, as well as auto components, tyres, batteries and storage components. Additionally, software integrated into vehicles and accessory equipment like construction machinery will also be showcased. This marks a significant upgrade from the focus on passenger and electric vehicles in the 2024 edition.

The government emphasised that the Bharat Mobility Global Expo will have active participation from various industry associations and organisations. The event aims to showcase the start-up ecosystem within the mobility sector and will include new product launches, international delegations, buyers, speakers and state government initiatives to attract new investments.

As for existing auto shows like the Auto Expo, Auto Components Show and Automechanika, their future remains uncertain. While the Auto Expo was traditionally held every second year, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo is set to be an annual event, reflecting the government's commitment to showcasing India's advancements in mobility on a regular basis. The inaugural Bharat Mobility Global Expo was organised by the central government in partnership with ministries and industry associations within a short span of three months.
