BSA Scrambler 650 Price in India: BSA Motorcycles very recently expanded its model lineup in the UK with the introduction of the Bantam 350 and the Scrambler 650. The former is a hark back to the original British motorcycle - the Bantam D1 - from the late 1940s, while the latter joins the Gold Star 650, which is already on sale in India. While yet to be confirmed, the Indian market could witness the arrival of the Royal Enfield Bear 650-rivalling BSA Scrambler 650 next month.

For the uninitiated, Royal Enfield launched the Bear 650, a scrambler based on the Interceptor 650, in November 2024. The only dedicated scrambler-style model currently available in India, the Bear 650 has already an upper hand in its class, but with the upcoming Scrambler 650, BSA aims to vie for a slice of India's 650-700cc scrambler pie.

Now, let's dive into the details of the new BSA Scrambler 650 unveiled in the UK:

BSA Scrambler 650: Engine Specs

Under the hood, the BSA Scrambler 650 gets a 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine, which develops 44bhp at 6,500rpm and 55Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, supplemented by a slip-and-assist clutch.

BSA Scrambler 650: Design, Colours

While the mechanicals are very similar to the Gold Star 650, the design of the Scrambler 650 is more in line with a retro-style scrambler bike. The latter features a matte-finished fuel tank, smaller round headlamp, beak-style front fender, and BSA badging. The bike also has a revamped tail-lamp, compact tail section, and a race place with the number '65'. It sits on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wire-spoked alloy wheel shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Colour options are Thunder Grey, Raven Black, and Victor Yellow.

BSA Scrambler 650: Features, Seat Height, Weight

In terms of features, the Scrambler 650 offers dual-channel ABS, adjustable twin shocks, and 41mm telescopic forks. The last two, however, are expected to come with increased travel for the Indian market. A round LCD unit (without smartphone connectivity) is available. The Scrambler 650 has a seat height of 820mm and wheelbase of 1,463mm, while the kerb weight sits at 218kg.
