Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer Launch Likely in August: Triumph Motorcycles will launch its 400cc cafe racer in August 2025 in India. This development comes in less than three days after the Speed 400-based cafe racer was caught featuring a red paint scheme, rounded out with silver stripes across the front fairing and fuel tank. While UK-owned Triumph has yet to reveal the name of the upcoming bike, we expect it to be called the Thruxton 400 upon India launch. The new cafe racer will join Bajaj-Triumph's current 400cc lineup, which consists of the Scrambler 400 X, Scrambler 400 XC, Speed 400, and Speed T4.
Triumph 400cc Cafe Racer: Powertrain
The soon-to-be-launched Triumph 400cc cafe racer will likely use the same chassis as the existing Speed 400. Moreover, the same 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine will be carried over as well. Available with the current 400cc Triumph range, the 398cc engine with a 6-speed gearbox makes 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm of maximum torque at 6,500rpm. However, gear ratio adjustments are on the cards.

Triumph 400cc Cafe Racer: Design
It is the design and colour options that will largely set the upcoming cafe racer apart from the Speed 400. Expected design bits on the cafe racer will include a semi-fairing, clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors, and a rear-seat cowl. In addition, the footpegs will likely be more rear-set. Apart from a red-silver paint scheme found on the recently spotted test mule, other new colour options are also expected.
