Citroen C3 Aircross 7 Seater: The Citroen C3 Aircross compact SUV has achieved a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme), becoming the first Citroen in India to do so. The Hyundai Creta-rivalling C3 Aircross SUV is the second Citroen to undergo the Bharat NCAP crash test, and it received 1 star more than the Basalt coupe-SUV. Bharat NCAP crash tested the coupe-SUV in October 2024, resulting in the model securing a 4-star rating. While the C3 Aircross comes in 5- and 7-seat versions, the 5-star rating applies to the 5-seat SUV.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Adult Occupant Protection Results (5 Stars)

The Citroen C3 Aircross scored 27.05/32, 0.86 points more than the Basalt in adult occupant protection (AOP) test results. In the frontal offset and side movable deformable barrier tests, the C3 Aircross achieved scores of 11.05/16 and 16/16 points, with 4.95 points deducted due to both the driver's and front passenger's knees being marginally protected. While the front passenger's chest was adequately protected, the SUV offered marginal protection to the driver's chest. 

For the legs and feet, the C3 Aircross offered good protection to the front passenger and adequate protection to the driver. In the side pole impact test, the SUV was rated 'OK'.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Child Occupant Protection Results (4 Stars)

The Aircross received 40/49 points in the child occupant protection (COP) tests, translating to a 4-star rating from Bharat NCAP. The SUV got full points in both the dynamic test (24/24) and the CRS installation test (12/12), but scored 4/13 in the vehicle assessment test. The 18-month- and 3-year-old child dummies were put on rearward-facing child seats, protected by ISOFIX mounts and a support leg. The test model also featured child restraint systems.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Safety Features

Safety-wise, the Citroen C3 Aircross is equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, electronic stability control, a tyre-pressure monitoring system, and hill-hold assist. Notably, all are standard.

Under the hood, the SUV gets a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, while gearbox options include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and 6-speed automatic.
