French automaker Citroen has announced that they will be unveiling the Basalt Vision Coupe SUV on March 27. Citroen has developed the Basalt Vision Coupe SUV specifically for the Indian and South American markets. The Basalt Vision will be a compact coupe SUV built on the C-Cubed platform, which also underpins Citroen's C3, eC3 and C3 Aircross models.

Coupe SUVs have recently started gaining popularity in the mass market segment. Citroen aims to seize an early opportunity by introducing the Basalt Vision to compete with upcoming models like the Tata Curvv ICE. The Citroen Basalt Vision will be similar in size to the C3 Aircross SUV and is expected to offer seating for five passengers. 

Citroen Basalt Vision Coupe SUV - Design 

Citroen India has shared teasers of the Basalt Vision Coupe SUV revealing its sleek roofline and distinctive LED taillight design, hinting at a stylish and modern appearance. With unique front and rear designs, the Basalt Vision will exude a premium appeal while retaining Citroen's signature grille and DRLs, along with a split headlamp setup.

Citroen Basalt Vision Coupe SUV - Interior 

The Basalt Vision's cabin will draw inspiration from the new C3 Aircross but is anticipated to feature enhancements in features and technology. The upcoming Coupe SUV is expected to boast features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument console, electrically adjustable ORVMs, connected features, climate control, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, and more.

Citroen Basalt Vision Coupe SUV - Engine 

In terms of engine performance, Citroen is expected to offer the Basalt Vision Coupe SUV exclusively with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. The Basalt Vision represents Citroen's commitment to delivering innovative and stylish vehicles tailored to the needs of diverse markets, promising a compelling option in the competitive SUV segment.
