Delhi Pollution News:  The air quality in the national capital is declining constantly, and it recently reached the ‘Severe’ category. The Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) stage 3 has been implemented in the Delhi-NCR region to prevent air quality from falling further. The Noida Development Authority recently released a statement regarding the restrictions in the area.

Vehicles To Be Barred From Use

While restrictions have been imposed on several construction and demolition activities, the government has also released a list of vehicles to be barred from being used in Noida. As per the official statement released by the Noida Development Authority, BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel vehicles will be barred from use in the region. The GRAP 3 restrictions will remain in place until the air quality index falls below 400 in the national capital.

What Is GRAP-3?

The implementation of the GRAP-3 is followed by the order of the Commission of Air Quality Management (CAQM) in the national capital region. GRAP-3 is a set of emergency measures to tackle the severe air pollution in the national capital. The restrictions under the GRAP stage 3 are imposed after the air quality index reaches between 401-450. The GRAP 3 includes curbs on several construction, industrial, and vehicular operations.
