Electric Rickshaw Faces Strict Action From Noida Traffic Police, Slapped Rs 22,500 Fine For Overloading

Electric Rickshaw Video:  While electric rickshaws move millions of people, cutting 4 lakh metric tons of carbon every day, often their videos of breaking the law surface on the Internet. Sometimes, rickshaw drivers overload their vehicles with passengers or some luggage, which increases the chances of an accident. One such video recently surfaced on the social media platform X, where an electric rickshaw was overloaded. The Noida Traffic Police acknowledged the video and took action by putting a monetary fine of Rs 22,500 on the rickshaw owner.

E Rickshaw Overloading

The three-wheeler electric rickshaws have enough space to accommodate a total of 5 people in one ride, including the driver. But it is often seen that rickshaw drivers pick up 5 or 6 passengers, which often leads to rickshaws overturning. The video shared on X featured a rickshaw overly loaded with metal. The rickshaw had heavy parts on its roof as well, and it almost lost its balance twice.

Noida Traffic Police In Action

The Noida Traffic Police swiftly acknowledged the video and fined the rickshaw owner with a monetary fine of Rs 22,500. The rickshaw driver was fined for dangerous driving and violating traffic rules. The video was shot by a car passenger, and it was shared on X, demanding action against the rickshaw driver. The person shooting the video can be seen saying that ‘the driver has turned his rickshaw into a Tata Ace’.
