Most sports and luxury car manufacturers across the world aim to produce aerodynamically superior, lower-to-the-ground and faster coupe cars, generating massive power. However, the rapidly increasing demand for Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) in the world has forced even the leading luxury and sports car manufacturers to shift their focus to the segment.

World’s best automobile manufacturers like Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley, Aston Martin and even Rolls Royce have already launched their SUV models including the Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga, Aston Martin DBX and Rolls Royce Cullinan.

Next up is one of the most iconic car brands in the world, Ferrari. The Italian luxury carmaker revealed its sole SUV model, known as the Ferrari Purosangue (pu-roh-sang-way) last year. The Ferrari Purosangue is anticipated to be launched in India in November 2023 and is expected to come at a whopping price tag of Rs 6 crore.

Ferrari Purosangue - Performance

Most high-performance SUVs are equipped with twin-turbo V8 engines, however, the Ferrari Purosangue is equipped with a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 petrol engine that is tuned to produce an enormous power output of 725 bhp and 716 Nm of torque. This power is sent to all four-wheels via a 2-speed front power transmission and an 8-speed rear-set dual-clutch transmission. The Ferrari Purosangue can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and Ferrari is claiming that it can achieve a top speed of 310 km/h. In terms of ground clearance, the Purosangue will be 180 mm above the ground and an additional 30mm lift be optional for low-speed usage only.

Ferrari Purosangue - Additional Details

Notable features of the Ferrari Purosangue include rear-hinged doors that open with a welcoming gesture, optional electrochromic glass roof,  373-litre boot space, dual-cockpit design with 10.25 inch touchscreen for both the driver and the front row passenger. The Ferrari Purosangue has been designed with efficient aerodynamic performance with an in-vogue split headlight arrangement, retractable door handles and an aerobridge at the bonnet edges.
