Ford Ranger Pickup Truck - Launch In India

If launched in India, the Ford Ranger would initially be a full import, with potential for local assembly later on. Locally producing the Ranger alongside the Ford Everest SUV is feasible, given their shared components and platform. While the Everest SUV has a strong following in India, the Ranger would be a new entrant. Pickup trucks haven't traditionally been popular here, but with models like the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max gaining traction and a growing interest in off-roading, the Ranger could carve a niche for itself in the Indian market.
