Jaguar Range Rover Price Cut: After luxury car manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW earlier announced reduced ex-showroom prices for their respective models, Tata Group-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reduced the prices of the Range Rover, Discovery, and Defender SUVs by up to Rs 30.40 lakh. This follows days after the government approved of the revised GST (Goods and Services Tax) rates for passenger vehicles.

Under GST 2.0, cars with petrol engines above 1,200cc and diesel engines above 1,500cc will attract a 40 per cent GST, compared to the 45-50 per cent GST under the pre-reform GST regime. As for smaller cars, buyers will have to pay 18 per cent GST only. No additional cess will be levied, though. While the revised GST rates will come into effect on September 22, customers looking to buy JLRs can take advantage of price reductions, effective September 9.

JLR India Line-up: Here's How Much You Can Save

Post GST reforms, here's how much you can save on these three JLR models:

Model Price Benefits Post GST Implementation
Range Rover Rs 4.60 lakh-Rs 30.40 lakh
Defender Rs 7 lakh-Rs 18.60 lakh
Discovery Rs 4.50 lakh-Rs 9.90 lakh

Please note that the actual price benefit on your preferred model may vary. JLR has urged potential buyers to confirm the same through authorised dealerships. 'The GST rationalisation on luxury vehicles is a welcome move for customers and for the industry. This move will provide much-needed impetus, reinforcing our confidence in and commitment to India's luxury market,' said Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India.
