Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles Price: Classic Legends-owned Jawa and Yezdi have announced new pricing across their respective model line-ups in India. Courtesy of a broad two-rate slab under GST 2.0, the Jawa-Yezdi motorcycle range will now be affordable by up to Rs 17,000, depending on the model selected. As a result, any of the Jawa-Yezdi models can be had at a price lower than Rs 2 lakh.

The price reduction comes a few days after the government approved the next generation of GST reforms, which have capped the rate at 18 per cent for motorcycles under 350cc. Speaking of displacement capacity, Jawa-Yezdi motorcycles feature either 293cc or 334cc Alpha 2 liquid-cooled engines, making them a right fit.

40% Tax on Gold Star 650

While the revised tax structure 'raises the tax burden for higher cc motorcycles' such as the BSA Gold Star 650, it makes the bikes below 350cc accessible to a larger community, according to the brand. The 350cc+ bikes, under GST 2.0, will be taxed at 40 per cent, which the government has named a 'sin' tax. The new tax structure will come into effect on September 22, the first day of Navratri.
