Hero Motocorp on Friday teased the new Karizma XMR 210 and also announced that the new motorcycle will be officially launched on August 29. Even though the teaser only shows a silhouette of the motorcycle, it does give away some important information about the new Karizma XMR 210. A solid understanding of what to expect from the new Karizma XMR has been devised as it has been previously spotted in testing and was officially shown to dealer partners.

Hero Karizma XMR 210 Teaser:

The teaser image reveals that the new Karizma will have a stylish fairing, a large windscreen and mirrors mounted directly on the fairing rather than on the handlebar like on Hero's other fairing-equipped bike, the Xtreme 200S. A clip-on handlebar, a powerful fuel tank, split seats, and what seem to be ducts under the pillion seat in the tail portion are some additional features that can be seen in the teaser.

Hero Karizma XMR 210 - Additional Features

The new Hero Karizma XMR 210 is expected to be powered by an entirely new, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, although you can't see that in the photographs. Very few details have been disclosed but as the name suggests, it should have a 6-speed gearbox and an engine capacity of about 210cc. Expect the Karizma XMR to have dual-channel ABS (a Hero first), all-LED lighting, a front telescopic fork, and a mono-shock at the back, alongside other features.

Hero Karizma XMR 210 - Prices

It is likely that the new Karizma XMR would be offered for approximately Rs 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hero Karizma XMR will compete once it is released against the immensely popular Yamaha R15 V4 (Rs 1.81 lakh–1.94 lakh) and the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (Rs 1.92 lakh–2.02 lakh). However, it will likely be more of a sports tourer, setting it apart from the Yamaha.
