New Delhi | Jagran Auto Desk: Hero Motorcyclee and Scooter India on Wednesday launched the Activ 6G BS VI engine scooty in Delhi. The largest selling scooter of India comes with new desig elements and programmed fuel engine. The HET, 109.51 cc, PGM Fi engine replaces the previous carburted mill-- Honda 5G (the predecessor). It generates a torque of 8.79 Nm at 7.79 hp. The scooter is claimed to be 10 per cent more fuel efficient. The new Honda Activa 6G includes telescopic front forks and three-setp adjustable rear suspension instead of spring-loaded hydraulics. 6G Activa has 12-inch front wheel as compared to 10-inch wheel in Activa 5G. There are drums on both ends.

To add sportiness to the look, the full metal body includes a new LED DC headlamp. Its features also include CBS with eqaulizer, multi-function switch, double lid external fuel fill, 18-under seat storage, engine start-stop switch and digital analogue meter. It also gets a longer seat and  increased floor space. As of now the device is available in six colour shades-- Pearl Precious White, Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic , Pearl Spartan red, Gliiter Blue Metallic.

The Activa 6G is the second BS6-compliant 110cc scooter to launch in the market, after the TVS' Jupiter Classic (Rs 67,911).First launched in 2001, Honda Activa has entered its 20th year in the Indian market and it is highest-selling scooter of the country. Honda Activa 6G price starts at Rs 63, 912 (standard version) up to Rs 65,412 (delux version). The cost is high as compared to its predecessor, mainly due to the incorporation of BS6 engines in Honda Activa 6G. 

Activa is the highest-selling scooter in India. 6G will start reaching dealerships by the end of this month or early February.  Bookings for the new model are open and deliveries will start from the end of January and early February.
