Honda CB1000 Hornet SP: Honda has announced a voluntary recall campaign for the CB1000 Hornet SP, the fourth bike to join the company's BigWing lineup in May 2025. While the company launched the litre-class Hornet SP at Rs 12.36 lakh (ex-showroom) some months ago, it is currently priced at Rs 13.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Haryana). Honda's recall applies to select units of the litre-class bike manufactured in 2025.
Honda CB1000 Hornet SP Recalled: Reason
The recall is part of a wider global recall covering the same Hornet SP model. Honda claims that the issue concerns the gear-shift pedal pivot bolt, which, when riding, may loosen and fall off due to 'excessive radiant heat' from the exhaust system softening the seat's painted surface. This could potentially affect gear shifting.

To address the issue, Honda BigWing dealerships will carry out the replacement procedure for affected parts across India, beginning January 2026. It will be free of charge, regardless of the warranty status. In the meantime, the brand will be proactively contacting its customers about the potential issue and asking them to bring their motorcycles for inspection. Alternatively, customers can visit the company's official website to check if their vehicle is affected by the recall by entering their 17-digit VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
