KTM Recall: KTM has announced a voluntary recall of the 2024 iterations of its 125, 250, 390, and 990 Duke motorcycles. The move comes as part of a broader global recall involving the same Duke bikes. According to the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, the recall is linked to defective fuel tank cap seals across the models mentioned before.
KTM Recall: Observations After Internal Quality Analysis
KTM conducted quality analysis and found that some fuel tank cap seals may not fully meet the brand's quality standards. 'Due to material deviations, small cracks could develop in the seal, which may lead to the possibility of fuel leakage from the tank cap area,' the recall statement read. To address the issue, KTM will replace the tank cap seal on all affected motorcycles, reflecting the brand's commitment to ensuring safety and product quality.

KTM Recall: Instructions for Affected Owners
According to KTM, the replacement procedure will be carried out free of charge, exclusively through authorised dealers, to ensure each motorcycle remains safe and reliable. For that, KTM has advised all owners to visit their nearest dealerships and have their components replaced. To those whom KTM has already delivered affected motorcycles, the company will send a letter, asking them to contact an authorised dealer to arrange an appointment for replacement. Customers can also visit the official website to check if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.
