Honda Elevate India Lucnh: Honda first introduced the Elevate in June this year and finally launched the highly-anticipated compact SUV for the Indian market on Monday. Honda Elevate will first be available in India, followed by other international markets. Honda has been trying to make an impact in the growing SUV segment in India but hasn’t been successful in doing so with its previously available SUVs such as the CRV, BR-V and WR-V. Honda currently only offers the City and the Amaze sedans in India.

Honda Elevate - Design

The Elevate has been built with an aggressive exterior design where the front fascia is highlighted by a sizable grille, a huge Honda logo and sleek LED headlamps connected by chrome accents. Its boxy design is complemented by 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, resembling those offered with the facelifted City model. At the back, the Elevate features a sloping windshield and taillights connected by a reflective bar.

Honda Elevate - Cabin

The interior boasts a modern 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It's accompanied by a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster. Additionally, the Elevate features a single-pane sunroof, catering to the increasing demand for this feature among buyers. The Elevate comes with a range of additional features, such as a lane-watch camera, wireless charging, and a rear parking camera.

Honda Elevate - Safety

Honda Elevate is also equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, offering functionalities like collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, road departure warning and automatic high beam assist.

Honda Elevate - Powertrain

Honda Elevate will be powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which also powers the Honda City. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 121 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed CVT automatic transmission.

Honda Elevate - Prices, Variants and Competitors

Honda Elevate is being offered in four trim levels; SV, V, VX and ZX. The prices for the SUV range between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). Honda has set very high expectations from the Elevate as it is going to rival popular SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
