Hyundai Brings Level 1 ADAS Safety Features In Venue, Venue N; All You Need To Know

Hyundai has brought in significant upgrades to its Venue and Venue N line SUVs to include features like a new powertrain option, new gearbox and host of ADAS features. The incorporation of ADAS has made Hyundai Venue one of the only SUVs in its segment to offer this feature. Hyundai is now offering the ADAS suite in four of its vehicles - Verna, Tucson, Ioniq 5 and Venue. Level 1 ADAS will be offered in the top trims of both the Venue and Venue N models which are the Venue SX(O) trim and the Venue N8 trims respectively. 

ADAS Features

ADAS features being offered in the Hyundai Venue are forward collision warning (FCW), forward collision-avoidance assist (FCA) for car, pedestrian and cycle, lane keeping assist (LKA), lane departure warning (LDW), driver attention warning (DAW), lane following assist (LFA), high beam assist (HBA) and leading vehicle departure alert (LVDA).

New Powertrain 

The new powertrain configuration in the Hyundai Venue is the inclusion of a new 6-speed manual gearbox option along with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 120 bhp and 172 Nm of output . Other existing options include a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox, 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. 

Change in Prices 

The SX(O) trim of the Hyundai Venue is offered with a variety of engine options which have been priced differently after the inclusion of ADAS. The turbo-petrol MT variant is being offered at Rs 12.44 lakh, turbo-petrol MT dual tone at Rs 12.59 lakh, turbo-petrol DCT at Rs 13.23 lakh, turbo-petrol DCT dual tone at Rs 13.38 lakh, diesel MT at Rs 13.19 lakh and diesel MT dual tone at Rs 13.34 lakh. 

Similarly with the Venue N Line, the N8 MT variant is being offered at Rs 12.96 lakh, N8 MT dual tone at Rs 13.11 lakh, N8 DCT at Rs 13.75 lakh and N8 DCT dual tone at Rs 13.90 lakh. 

With these prices, Hyundai Venue has become one of the most affordable vehicles to include ADAS.

Competitors of Hyundai Venue 

Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger will continue to be competitors of the Venue.
