Honda has recently launched the Honda Elevate, its first ever SUV in India. Honda Elevate was launched with the aim to compete in the growing SUV market in the country. Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Kia Seltos are some of the toughest competitions in this segment. Especially, Hyundai Creta dominates this market because it was one of the first compact SUVs released in India and created its own separate fan base. When comparing the Honda Elevate with the Hyundai Creta, there are some distinctive differences that can be influential in making a decision when it comes to picking one out of the two SUVs.

Engine

In terms of engine, the Honda Elevate is equipped with the same engine as the Honda City which is a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine that produces a maximum output of 119 bhp and a peak torque of 145 Nm. On the other hand, the Hyundai Creta is available with two engine options, 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine and a 1.5-litre petrol engine. The diesel engine is capable of producing 115 bhp and 250 Nm of torque and the petrol engine produces 113 bhp and 143 Nm of torque.

Design 

Honda Elevate is designed with sharp edges and sleek lines making it look futuristic. It features design elements like chrome grille, LED headlights, and a sleek profile. In comparison, the Hyundai Creta has more rounded edges and exhibits a more curvier design. It has an aggressive bumper, extravagant tail lights, and a free-flowing grille design.

Technological Features 

Talking about technological advancements, both the cars host a number of features that provide better comfort to the passengers. The Honda Elevate and Hyundai Creta offer a range of features, with Elevate boasting of a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-speaker sound system, and semi-digital instrument cluster. In contrast, the Creta comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and a digital instrument cluster. Elevate provides automatic climate control, multifunction steering wheel, navigation system and a single-pane sunroof while the Creta offers drive modes, a panoramic sunroof, and front ventilated seats among other amenities. Both models have rear AC vents, adjustable seats, and cruise control options, with Elevate featuring adaptive cruise control.

Safety Features

When it comes to safety features, the Honda Elevate and Hyundai Creta offer distinct advantages. While the Elevate lacks a G-NCAP safety rating as of yet, it matches the Creta in airbag count, ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control, automatic headlamps, hill hold assist, rear sensors, parking camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchor points. Notably, the Elevate takes the lead by featuring ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), setting it apart from the Creta in terms of advanced safety technology.

Price

Honda Elevate prices range from Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 16 lakh whereas the Hyundai Creta prices range from Rs 10.87 lakh to Rs 19.20 lakh.
