Honda Hornet 2023 Launch: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India on Tuesday launched the all-new 2023 Hornet 2.0 at a starting price of Rs 1.39 lakh with new features, designs and engine upgrades as compared to its predecessor. The Honda Hornet 2.0 has been launched with an OBD2-compliant engine, new headlight and a fully digital liquid crystal instrument panel. The bookings for the Honda Hornet 2.0 are expected to commence soon.

Honda Hornet 2.0 - Looks

The new Honda Hornet 2.0 is slightly different from its predecessor. The bike now has LED headlights, a sculpted fuel tank with sharp body panels, and new graphics that contribute to its aggressive appearance.

Honda Hornet 2.0 - Features

The Honda Hornet 2.0 gets an Upside-down (USD) front fork, available for the first time in the sub-200cc motorcycle market. Mono-shock rear suspension, ten-spoke alloy wheels and split seat configuration are some of the other features. Both ends have disc brakes and single-channel ABS to handle braking tasks.

The Fully Digital liquid crystal instrument panel has a five-level illumination control and shows information such as a clock, twin trip metres, speedometer, gear position indicator, odometer, tachometer, battery voltage metre and service due indicator. LED lighting is used for the indicators, taillamp, and headlamp.

Honda Hornet 2.0 - Engine

A powerful 184.40 cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder PGM-FI engine with BSVI OBD2 compliance powers the new 2023 Hornet 2.0 and produces 17 bhp of power and 15.9 Nm of peak torque. The OBD2 Hornet 2.0 employs a number of sensors to monitor the impact of certain parts on performance. It even turns on a warning light on the instrument panel of the bike if any malfunction is sensed. The new Hornet's engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and a new assist and slipper clutch that manages rear wheel lock-up on strong downshifts while slowing down and making upshifts easier has been included.

Honda Hornet 2.0 - Prices and Competitors

Priced at Rs. 1.39 lakh, the 2023 Honda Hornet 2.0 competes with the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, both of which are priced at Rs. 1.47 lakh.
