The DX draws power from a familiar 98.98cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which belts out 7.28 bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.04 Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Braking hardware remains the same as well: 130mm drum at the front and 110mm drum at the rear.
As far as the market competition goes, the Shine 100 DX rivals the Bajaj Platina as well as the Hero HF and Splendor bikes.
