Hyundai Exter has been awarded as the Indian Car Of The Year 2024. There were several other contenders in the awards which included models like the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, Honda Elevate, Toyota Innova Hycross, Citroen C3 Aircross, Mahindra XUV400, Hyundai Verna, and MG Comet. Second position was bagged by Maruti Suzuki Jimny while the third place was tied up between Honda Elevate and Toyota Innova Hycross. 

Apart from the ICOTY, several other awards were also given out like the Premium Car Of The Year 2024 and Green Car Of The Year 2024 which were won by the BMW 7 Series and the Hyundai Ioniq 5, respectively.

Hyundai Exter - Indian Car Of The Year

Hyundai Exter is a subcompact SUV that was launched in India in July 2023 with its prices ranging between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10.15 lakh (ex-showroom). 

The Exter subcompact SUV is available with a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine that is capable of producing 83 bhp and 113.8 Nm of torque. For transmission duties, it is paired to a 5-speed MT or an AMT gearbox. The Hyundai Exter is also available with a CNG powertrain that produces a slightly lower power output of 69 bhp and 95.2Nm of torque.

Talking about the features, it gets some advanced features like a sunroof, climate control, dashboard camera, rear-AC vents, wireless charger, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with up to 60 connected car features, a semi-digital driver’s display and cruise control.
