Hyundai will release the second-generation Venue in India by 2025. In Hyundai's India lineup, the new Venue will remain above the recently introduced Exter subcompact SUV. Venue arrived in India in 2019 and underwent a major mid-cycle facelift the previous year. According to reports, the brand-new Venue would be the first Hyundai to be produced at the recently acquired Talegaon plant in Maharashtra's Pune.

Hyundai’s Newly Acquired Talegaon Plant

General Motors and Hyundai recently signed an agreement to obtain Talegaon, a manufacturing plant with a 1,50,000-unit annual production capacity. By 2025, Hyundai's second production plant in India would be operational as an investment of Rs 5,000 crore is being planned by the company. The capacity of Hyundai's Chennai plant, which now has an annual production capacity of 8,20,000 units, will increase thanks to the establishment of this new plant.

New-Gen Hyundai Venue

Three different engines are available for the Venue: a 1.2-liter petrol engine with 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque paired with a five-speed manual gearbox; a 1-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque paired with a six-speed iMT or an optional seven-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic); and an upgraded 1.5-liter diesel engine with 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Venue recently passed the mark of 4,50,000 units sold across the Indian market. It is currently available in 13 variants with prices ranging from Rs 7.72 lakh to Rs 13.18 lakh (both ex-showroom), and are available in five major trims: E, S, S+/S(O), SX, and SX(O). The next-gen Venue will compete with compact SUVs like the Maruti Brezza and Fronx, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and the Mahindra XUV300.
